   Subject: Privacy software workshop: Tuesday 9 September

   Hi,

   We will kick off a new set of Privacy workshops on Tuesday (9th).

   It will take about 60 to 90 minutes. If you like to have some influence on the
   coming workshop/meeting subjects, please do attend at least the first meeting,
   or otherwise communicate on the list (or to me).

   We will meet at 20:00. Try to have finished dinner by then, especially if you
   want to do something interactive.

   Presumably, setting up Tails may take longer than the 60 - 90 minutes allocated,
   but the other workshop subjects should finish by that time.

   Of course, it's also possible we will take some more time - it's flexible...

   The first meeting will consist of a mix of things:

      * Basic Tor introduction.
      * Setting up Tor / Tails.
      * Discuss the future subjects mentioned on the wiki.[0]

   Optionally, depending on the interest of the attendants:

      * Setting up a Tor hidden service
      * Basic PGP introduction.
      * Setting up PGP with GnuPG.

   In the (near) future:

      * Novice Tor subjects:
        - Running a relay.
        - Setting up a hidden service.
        - Running an exit relay.

      * Advanced Tor subjects:
        - How it works™
        - Recent changes / attacks
        - Misconceptions about the Tor project

      * Novice PGP subjects:
        - Using PGP.
        - Using an OpenPGP 2.0 smartcard with GnuPG.
        - Using PGP for SSH authentication.

      * Setting up Pond, basic Pond introduction.

   ... And more
