Gencore is a Sheevaplug. It runs core services like LDAP and RADIUS for Spacenet. Gencore is fan-less, does not use a lot of power and runs a very minimal linux system, using Gentoo. It typically operates with about 16MB of ram in use.
Current storage is a sd card, but we're looking into other options. There will also be a LDAP read-only mirror available, in case this device temporarily fails. (We do not expect this to happen)
