| + | okay, I already did this project. Debian jessie as only OS turned out to be fine. On the ubuntu site you can find instructions to put debian/ubuntu on a usb-key. Hold alt when booting up, that should run the installer. After installation I had some trouble getting the wifi to work, turns out I got the BCM4331 Broadcam wireless chip. Installing the 'wl' driver took care of that issue (https://wiki.debian.org/wl). | ||

Ok, so about a year back (june 2013) I decided that I wanted to try a macbook/OSX. It turned out that I didn't like OSX much, so Linux is going to fix that.
Lots of trouble that comes with this is describe on this page [1] (Extracting the relevant information and post it here is TODO)
The result is that the most safe way to install Linux on my macbook is to install a second harddisk. I am still partly locked in OSX & Windoze due to a combination of school and money-hungry big companies. That makes a triple-boot using 2 harddisk necessary. The last part still needs to arrive in order to build the harddisk in.

okay, I already did this project. Debian jessie as only OS turned out to be fine. On the ubuntu site you can find instructions to put debian/ubuntu on a usb-key.
