small project: uploading photos to wiki by email / plugin?

i was "inspired" yesterday by aldert's postings of two huge photos to the mailing list (wink wink to aldert! ;-) , and i wanted to suggest to him to put the photos on the wiki & then email their url...

... but then i realized that it is not so easy to do such a thing.

it would be great if we could *email* photos (from mobile phones, for example) to a specific address ( "photo@techinc.nl" ), and have a script then upload them to the wiki, and send a reply to the sender with the url (e.g. ~/photos/$user$subject$date.JPG)

and then the sender has only to forward that email to the list...

security considerations: only mailing-list subscribers and wiki users should be allowed to post to this email address! (procmail to the rescue!)
