Create a whirlpool and shine some light on it

Light wave
The public 'charges' a cell by shining the flashlight of a phone on a sensor. The light gets released moves up to the ceiling where it bounces like a wave. Optional, have some light behave a particle. Use different colors for different waves, particles.
Kill the medium
Display in high intensity images or video clib from popular culture. The public can turn this off by pressing a button. Alternatively, people can pay with their privacy through a like on facebook
