Amount of resistance expressed in ohm (Ω). The higher the value, the more resistance.

  • Fixed resistors. The amount is color coded (see below) or the value is printed on it.
  • Variable resistors, also known as potentiometers. Continual adjustment of the resistance up to a maximum value.
