here are the notes from the meetup of (Amsterdam-based) connectors, hacktivists, artivists, artists, digital/humanities academics & (self-diagnosed) tech-pessimists…  [0].  

We had our 3rd monthly “borrel”, the most busy of all: 11 people in total showed up: Donna, Tessel, Douwe, Karla, Lotte, Risa, Emile, Maxigas, Juli, Zsolt, and myself (Vesna). 

We enjoyed the low-tech, old-fashioned, informal friendly chit-chat... and it was interesting & informational, lots of inspiration & ideas, plans to follow up on...

To start with, we’ve learned history of our meetup location [1] : Volkskamer, ex Oostade theatre (now moved to CC Amstel), and a woongroup - one of the rare remains of the squatters movement in Amsterdam [2]. 

We’ve shared with each other job openings & volunteer positions & other opportunities; events of interest; books we’ve published & read; workshops we’ve attended. We’ve brainstormed about the locations for the next 2 events — preferably somewhere new each time (the list is on the wiki & “radar” too!).
