Space-Maintenance Committee

PROPOSAL:

I(gorgabal) propose to form a space-maintanance-commitee .

For a useful, functional space, tools needs to be working, and there need to be a bit of order and cleanness.
However, at the moment of writing, the space is messy/unclean, and tools tend to be broken.

This leads to members leaving, and scaring potential new members off.
Ideally, when you enter the space on any day, you should be able to trust that things are working.

Tasks & responsibilities.

So, what could the tasks and responsibilities of this committee be?

• organize a regular cleaning event.
• keep track of the status of various tools, and try to find a tool-guardian for them. (or take an other appropriate action. If a tool-guardian for a broken tool cannot be found, the committee might decide to throw the tool out. )
• enforce DNH-markers. Throw out abandoned projects on a regular basis.
• keep track of inventory, order new parts when needed. (or appoint someone to do this. Something like an inventory-guardian?)

In order to limit scope, the space-maintanance-committee will only focus on the physical well-being of the space.

Voting?

Since this committee will sometimes throw things out, the creation of it needs to be voted in.
I am not sure if individual members should be voted in too. This still needs to be discussed. As well as potential other things.
