We have large table surfaces in both East and West space, but the lamps above them are pure sadness. We should improve on that.
Lamp Requirements
- Must give enough light to the work area underneath.
- Must work well as area lighting.
- Must incorporate an "alertspace" mechanism.
- Must avoid glare or annoying straight into the corner-of-the-eye light sources, even late at night.
Nice to haves
- Could set the area lighting and desk-lighting independently
- Could be techinc or hackerspace themed.
- Could nice/interesting to look at.
- Could set workplace lighting per workplace.
