Wild TA-10 Vinyl Cutting Plotter
Status
We need to repair some smaller kinks and figure out how to talk to it.
Specifications
Manual
Plans
Once we figured out how to work it,
Protocol
- Calcomp is mentioned as the protocol used. Unfortunately, usable information and especially software is scarce.
There is some CalComp documentation available on http://bitsavers.org/pdf/calcomp
But it's unclear how that matches with the serial interface of this plotter, and if it applies to it at all. The best thing is probably to find a program that can actually talk to the plotter and sniff the serial port.
Resources
Software that lists these plotters explicitly as supported:
- SignTools 4 - an add-on for CorelDraw, Demo Version available
- Some references (eBay auctions et al) list HPGL (overview) as a way to talk to it. But often together with some interface box so this might not work for ours.
