What are we?

• We are learning what we are together, by doing it. We can use the public program to helps us to define what we are learning together as we go it is about what are learning
• If something is already happening, we support what is already happening
• everybody can invite other, what makes this group grow in a slower manner.
• We should be explicit we don't intend to be a love peace group that brings Ukraine, Belarusian and Russian together, we just decided not to limit the scope to Ukraine.
• It is a Dutch initiative event but we invite people from everywhere. In the future we can connect with other events elsewhere.
• it is a support platform
• we are not telling ppl what to do

How can ppl contribute?

It is a challenge , but also an opportunity. If it is too dangerous (being public) we need a form to facilitate the security:

• not allowed to make a live recording
• no photos
• Someone should write a good report about the meeting, like a blog post

Maybe we should have events that are online and not online.

Who can join the signal group?

We get request of ppl can become a member from Russia, Ukraine - if they can contribute - they want to join the meeting
Members of this group can invite others, what makes this group grow organically, in a slower manner.

The public events

We can use the public program to help us to define what we are learning together as we go. It is about what are learning

Requests

We expect in 2 years the Russian firewall to become more impenetrable. We are still looking for a coordinator with technical expertise + creativity to make sure people in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, etc, can access information. This should be an institutionalized and continuous support.

Kris is increasingly getting requests from journalists from Russia asking for help to come here.

Would like to invite Russian philosophers and journalist and would like to discuss whom to expect in the event as speaker and as public

Also, need to discuss what channels, how we co-work.

Website inzamelplekken.nl -> we are looking for volunteers. Also making a job description for an intern, but don't have a budget yet.

We have a project on data - public and social media and how media is evidence on the court. We need to hire a researcher from Ukraine and make this bigger, more substantial. There is not funding yet.

We sent an email for people asking if they want to work in the workshop about security (?)

Offers

Marc (?) is writing for a grant about the evolution of extremism and is collecting letters of organisations against extremism. Maybe some of these organisations can be of interest for this group.

we did small research about the polish opinion on the war on ukraina

Kalenski can link us with other researchers of disinformation across Europe.

M is speaking with Stichting Doen, and asked if they could support the activities, not for this group, but for the initiatives in this group.

We need to be more clear of what we need, If we do need more support, the city of Adam may support a lot.

(...) We are building an University. We have now a mentorship where at the moment 60 people are pared. This mentor project is already happening and we have a resource list that people use to find work and practical information. This includes Ukraine, Russian and Belarusians. The university is more in a long term, we have already contact with Ministries in Riga. The university will not be in Amsterdam. UVA is involved.

Events

Low-key public event. Speaking with Kalensky as he is already organising disinformation researches and about understanding and how to counter this. We try to have 3 guest and 3 perceptions
Text will be a brief introduction, we don't need to have all the names of the presentors yet.

Wendsday 20th

1. The meeting with this group start at 18:00
2. We will have some soup, the mirror kitchen
3. We will start to explain ppl who we are
